Meet Our Team

"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."                              – Helen Keller

Alina M. Galliano - Pardo, M.D.

                       Psychiatrist

Dr. Galliano - Pardo is truly passionate about what she does.  Her experience, knowledge, and caring and insightful approach make her one of the premier psychiatrists in the area.

Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Alina M. Galliano - Pardo, M.D. completed her medical school and residency training at University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine where she served as Chief Resident.  Dr. Galliano - Pardo has been practicing psychiatry for over fifteen years and has diagnosed and treated thousands of patients. She is a Fellow in both the American Psychiatric Association and the American Society of Addiction Medicine. She is one of few private practice psychiatrists on Florida’s First Coast who is board certified in both General Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine and is the only female. She had extensive experience working with acute psychiatric and addiction patients in inpatient, private, and state psychiatric facilities early on in her career.

Since 2011, Dr. Galliano - Pardo has dedicated her time to her private practice and supervising the treatment of hundreds of patients in Wekiva Springs Beaches Center's Intensive Outpatient program as their Medical Director. She has served as president of the medical staff for hospitals in both Florida and Georgia with a specialty in Adult Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. She treats many disorders, such as, depression, anxiety/ panic disorders, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder. As a part of her treatment plan, she provides medication management for psychiatry and addiction disorders (MAT) combined with psychotherapy.

She is trained to evaluate and administer deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Therapy (dTMS), an FDA-cleared and effective therapy for treatment resistant Major Depressive Disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.  To learn more about deep TMS therapy click here https://www.brainsway.com.

We live in a time where a vast amount of information based on opinions and personal experience are published.  While Dr. Galliano - Pardo doesn’t discard that information, she believes that healthcare providers should offer options that are based on the latest research and medical evidence, while keeping in mind, what is best for each patient. Dr. Galliano - Pardo has made a commitment to remain up-to-date in her medical knowledge,  to rely less on these opinions, and focus on options for patients that are based on the latest medical evidence.  She believes in a collaborative, non-judgmental approach to help facilitate patient education on current evidence-base options used to treat and manage their clinical problems. During this process, patients are active participants in their care, discovering hope and motivation that can lead to medical decisions and treatments that meet the needs of the patient and their families.
